									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I had an inspiration to do another small aerial garden, this time a summer rose piece again like my first in the series. I gave this one a slight &#039;hill&#039; by sewing it in a larger hoop, reframing it in this one slightly lose, stuffing the hoop with shaped felt and pulling tight to make a gentle slope to the centre.</p>

I looked across to the other side and saw along the river bend they&#039;d shaped the field around it and left an area of wild reeds along the edge&#8230; the whole view inspired me and this is the result!</p>

The walls are amongst the thinnest of this collection, making it surprisingly light for its size. Turned and carved from Box Elder Wood and finished with fire, red wine, and varnish oil.</p>

This was for a commissioner who requested I recreate a special bridge over the peace river by Dunvegan&#8230; it took many many hours and thousands of tiny knots and was quite the challenge, but so rewarding! The hoop is 14 inches across to help visualise it.</p>
