We want to have confidence that maker accounts are managed by actual makers who have or are working to develop skills in their craft. So, we award Verified status based on engagement and our ability to identify a maker off-site.
Verified makers are marked by a Verified badge on their profile and have access to special features including the ability to add themselves to Maker Map.
During Early Access, the engagement we’re looking for involves posting work appropriate to one’s craft, commenting on others’ work and having a completed profile. We also really appreciate it when our members provide feedback.
Verified status on We Make cannot be purchased. And, as you would expect, Verified status does imply endorsement and does not guarantee the quality of a maker’s work or their business practices.
